Examples of Data Sources:
Email
Forms (eSheet 2000):
The Email or eSheet method collects the transaction via a highly cutomizable spreadsheet
entry form. Entered transactions are then sent in via email. These transactions, which can
be emailed individually or in batches, are then interpreted, validated and inserted into
your in house system.
Web
Forms (HTML/XML):
The Web Form method collects the transaction via an internet/intranet form filled out
using a standard web browser. The entered data is then transmitted to your in house system
for interpretation and validation. Transactions that pass all validation tests can then be
inserted into your in house system without user intervention.
PDF
(Adobe PDF format):
Use Adobe PDF as a data capture method. Utilize point & click form design in
conjunction with Internet publishing and Email attatchment capability to create a
compelling PDF digital forms solution.
Paper Forms:
The Paper Form method collects the transaction via fax or scanner. The incoming data is
interpreted and then validated against your in house data files (i.e. Customers &
Items for Sales Order transactions). Once validated, the transaction is inserted into your
Order Processing (or other) system without the need for rekeying the information.
PDA (Personal Digital Assistant):
Utilize select PDAs to collect and capture data. Custom EDFI SPIs can move
that data to your in house system.
