Smart Phone Is Here!

We've come a long way since we first ran our applications back in 1999 on taped-together Casio E100 PDAs...ouch!  Now, everyone seems to have a PDA-phone with built in GPS and Bluetooth.  Life is good!

Here's how we take advantage of the technology...

QLink Mobile Client - The QLink(tm) mobile client lets you synchronize customer, item, pricing and sales data from your pocketpc phone instantly.  As soon as the remote PDA synchronizes, your distribution list gets an email with the sales that the sales rep has made and transmitted.  If that's pre-order data, the MCNi SyncAgent running back at the office will poll the sales data frequently and immediately print a pick list for the warehouse.

Supported SmartPhones -

Please check with us before you buy, but if you're looking at a phone that has PocketPC...we should be good!  If you purchase it through your cellular provider then even better...they'll get you set up with the phone and internet service right away.  Here are a few of the phones we've linked up with...

Sprint - Sprint offers one phone that is compatible...the PPC-6700.

Alltel - Alltel offers the same phone as sprint...the UTStarcom(tm) PPC6700.

Verizon Wireless - Now we're talking!  Verizon offers a number of phones that work great with our applications...

This is the Samsung SCH-i730.  It has bluetooth, national access and a QWERTY Keyboard!

This version of the Treo 700W is PocketPC and great for pre-order installations.  This unit does have a Bluetooth issue, so we've been using it with I/R printers.

This is a great device...Bluetooth enabled and even picture messaging.

Cingular - Some great phones here too!

IPAQ6515 - This is a great device we've used a lot!  It has a smaller screen, but the keyboard makes up for that.

IPAQ8125 - This is a grown-up 6515 without the keyboard.  Nice full-size pda with built-in phone.
